Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Director / Senior Director of Global Brand Marketing to lead Truly’s global marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of the beauty industry and Ulta, Sephora, Amazon, and Department Store channels, understanding of the open sell environment, and a proven track record of developing and executing successful 360-degree marketing strategies and campaigns. The Director of Marketing will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of marketing, including brand development, product launches, digital marketing, social media, and influencer partnerships.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute comprehensive global marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and sales growth.
• A&P Budget development and execution according to company P/L.
• Manage marketing budgets, track performance metrics, and provide regular reporting and analysis to optimize campaign effectiveness and ROI.
• Lead the development of brand positioning, messaging, and creative direction to ensure consistency across all marketing channels.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products, including conducting market research, identifying target audiences, and defining product positioning.
• Lead the digital marketing efforts, including social media, email marketing, search engine optimization/marketing (SEO/SEM), retail media network (RMN) and influencer partnerships, to drive brand visibility and engagement.
• Manage relationships with external partners, including advertising agencies, PR firms, and influencers, to maximize brand exposure and drive results.
• Analyze marketing data and key performance metrics to track the effectiveness of campaigns and optimize marketing strategies accordingly.
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); ability to deliver strong, polished, effective PowerPoint presentations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the beauty industry.
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive brand growth and achieve business objectives globally.
• Deep understanding of the beauty industry, including consumer trends, competitive landscape, and distribution channels.
• Deep understanding of digital marketing platforms and tools, with a focus on social media, email marketing, and e-commerce.
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable marketing plans.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.
• Strong ability to attract, retain and develop top talent and build a passionate team.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
• Creative thinker with a passion for beauty and a pulse on emerging trends in skincare, cosmetics, and wellness.
