Chapter 43
– Kate-
“How is everything, Uncle?” Sebastian was on the phone, talking to Gabriel.
Sebastian and Kate were inside their hotel suite. They were heading out when Sebastian decided to get an update about the pack.
Kate saw how Sebastian frowned. She heard him say in a commanding tone, “The rebel group is panicking. They should be because when I become king, the first thing that I will order is their eradication.”
Clearly, they were talking about the group of rogues that had created the rebellion. Vottara was something. First, the vampires dominated the uprising in the country years ago. Thanks to Sebastian, the vampire rebellion has dissipated.
For sure, there were still vampires in Vottara. Some lived peacefully, but without a leader urging them to cause an uprising, they were no longer a threat to the human and werewolf kind.
After the vampires, another group of werewolves started a rebel group. Kate cussed, saying, ‘They just couldn’t give my husband a break.”
When Sebastian was finally done with his phone call, he put on his mask and extended his hand to Kate. He said, “Let’s go, Honey.”
Kate smiled while taking his hand. She replied, “I’m excited, Honey.”
The days without responsibilities and work were rather refreshing. Over the past few days, Kate and Sebastian had spent their time in bed, making love. In their downtime, they toured Vayona’s museums and huge malls.
Kate did a lot of shopping and thanked the Moon Goddess that her husband was filthy rich. She didn’t have to spend her own money!
Today, they were going to visit Vayona’s most famous theme park. The alpha and luna of the Wind Walker Pack were going to pretend to be ordinary people enjoying what the human world has to offer.
Costumes and masks were nothing new to theme parks. Everywhere they looked, there were cosplayers around. Thus, the people were not shocked at all to see Sebastian with his golden mask.

The couple first tried the bumper boats and the bumper cars. Each of them got a ride of their own. Kate especially enjoyed the bumper boats as she shot Sebastian with a water gun, and he did too, without mercy.
When the two rode on the rollercoaster, Kate screamed at the top of her lungs, but Sebastian looked bored. Getting off the ride, Kate said, “Seriously, Seby?”
“It wasn’t frightening at all,” Sebastian declared. He pointed to a very tall structure and suggested, “Let’s try
that.”
Kate’s mouth fell on the floor. Sebastian was referring to the drop of doom!
“No, no, no. I’m not doing that – Ahh! Sebastian!” Her husband carried her over her shoulders, and he walked to
the drop of doom area. Just like that, Kate was fastened into a seat and ascended four hundred feet above the
ground with Sebastian beside her.
“Oh, my Goddess,” Kate said just as she saw how high they were.
“Relax, it’s going to be exciting,” Sebastian suggested.
“I’m not a wimp, okay, but this is just crazy – Ahhhhh!” Finally, the drop happened. At least the ride got a reaction from Sebastian because he grunted as they dropped at ninety miles per hour.
When they were finally done with the drop of doom, Kate declared, “I’m not going on those kinds of rides again!”
Sebastian only laughed at her. He proposed, “Come on. Let’s do something relaxing.”
Next, they participated in games. They shot some balls into a basket, picked up plastic ducks, threw darts, played basketball, and much more. By the end of the afternoon, Kate had won five stuffed toys, and Sebastian especially won her ten stuffed toys.
They won so much that the couple had to deposit their wins in the theme park counters.
Sebastian and Kate went on to have relaxing rides at first. Kate even convinced her husband to hop on the carousel, which he dared yawn in the middle. Still, Kate was amused and happy because even if Sebastian found it boring, he endured it for her.
On their last ride, Sebastian took Kate to the Ferris Wheel.

round and round, Kate took as many pictures, even a few without Sebastian wearing his mask.
Like a scene from a movie, their capsule stopped at the very top. It made Kate chuckle, and her eyes gleamed, but it became natural for them.
Because they said that couples who kissed at the top of the Ferris Wheel stay together happily, Sebastian leaned in for a kiss, and they did so with passion at the top of the Ferris Wheel.
It was very romantic. The best part was how the couple rode on it repeatedly, kissing every time the wheel stopped at the very top. The theme park announced the closing day on Kate and Sebastian’s fifth ride, and fireworks erupted.
The colorful sky was the most magical background to Kate and Sebastian’s kiss, and they reveled in it more than they should have.
Sebastian breathed in her scent and kissed her deeper. His mouth opened wider as if he wanted to swallow her whole. Kate moaned into his mouth as her hand traced his handsome face. She had earlier removed his mask for
them to kiss.
When the two pulled away, Sebastian had dreamy eyes while looking at Kate. He caressed her face and surprised her by saying, “I love you, Kate. I hope you’ll stay with me even after I become king.”
She cried at his confession. As their capsule descended, she kissed him more, and it brought about her arousal.
That night, when they returned to their hotel room, Kate and Sebastian made love repeatedly. Their emotions were outpouring through their kisses and how they held each other.
Their bodies continued to be tangled until three in the morning, and in that last round, Sebastian took control and came inside of her. He bit her neck, and Kate knew how he badly wanted to mark her.
However, all he could do was leave her a bruise.
To mark or not?
Kate knew Sebastian could never mark her. It was a risk that they both did not want to take.
Sebastian rolled on his back with regret showing on his face. She soothed him, kissing his face and saying, “It’s okay. I love you, Sebastian, and I feel the way you love me too. I don’t need you to prove it by marking me. I promise to stay by your side.”

“Kate, I was wondering,” Sebastian said. “Maybe we can ask your grandmother about my curse? Maybe there is a way to lift it?”
She thought about it. They could do that, but what if lifting the curse would also reveal that they were not true! mates? It was scary altogether.
However, Kate understood Sebastian’s worry. She took a deep breath and answered, “I have thought about that
too. Let’s schedule a visit to Azenna soon.”
Days came and went. After Sebastian and Kate’s honeymoon in Vayona, they returned o the Wind Walker Pack and had been there for a month. Kate performed her Luna duties, and Sebastian began to have these meetings with King Henry, preparing him for when he would be crowned king.
They were busy, especially Sebastian, but he made it home to Kate each night.
Kate had already scheduled the visit to Taplean and Azenna when a sudden encounter with the rogues changed their plans.
One afternoon, Kate and Sebastian were returning from Brawnlyn Hold Castle. They came across a group of rogues who were carrying prisoners!
Naturally, Kate and Sebastian, including his men, interfered. A fight commenced, and the rogues fought hard to keep their prisoners; some even tried to salvage their captives by running away and carrying them over their
backs.
Kate had shifted into her wolf form. She chased after one rogue who carried a body fully covered in cloth and chains. She separated from Sebastian and the others, but Gus followed behind while pursuing another rogue.
The sight abhorred Kate. How were these rogues so inhumane to put prisoners into a bag of cloth?
Since Kate was back to her original strength, she ran faster than the rogue. She managed to topple him down, and the captive screamed as she rolled on the ground.
With Kate’s skills, the rogue easily lost his arm. Kate bit on his limb angrily and pulled it off his body! The rogue howled in pain, but Kate wasn’t done yet. She bit his neck and made sure he would never hurt another being!
Finally, the rogue was immobilized, bleeding to death in his human form. Kate turned to the captive and rushed

to tear off the cloth that covered her. The poor thing was struggling to breathe in her cover.
It was a woman. The unknown woman screamed upon seeing Kate, but she quickly reassured, “It’s okay, I’m not one of them.”
“Don’t hurt me, please. I’ve been through enough,” the woman begged with tears.
“I’m not going to hurt you. I saved you,” Kate pointed to the rogue behind them, saying, “See? I saved you. You are safe now.”
After seeing her captor lying lifeless on the ground, the woman broke down in tears. She went at it so hard that
she lost consciousness.
Kate checked her pulse and vitals; she was alive but probably exhausted. She carried the woman in her arms just
in time for Gus to catch up with her.
“Luna,” Gus called. His eyes landed on the woman, and his face turned pale. He said, “Monica?”
“Monica, you know her?” Kate asked.
When Gus gulped and refused to answer, she connected the dots and recalled who Monica was. ‘Monica? The first person Sebastian had a relationship with?”
Blood drained out of Kate’s face. She said silently, ‘No, it couldn’t be, right?‘
