It was our first time to Harbour Town, so we were a little hesitant to eat at the Crazy Crab because of some reviews posted. But I can say it was a very nice experience, loved the decor, and the food was delicious. We were seated quickly and our server knew her job and did it well. We ordered crab cakes and shrimp and grits with salads. The shrimp and grits was a different taste profile than I’m accustomed to, but I enjoyed the change. My husband had the crab cakes and said they were some of the best he had eaten in a restaurant. We would not hesitate to at the Crazy Crab when we visit Harbour Town again.
Loved Harbor Town and the Crazy Crab lived up to their billing as the best crab legs on the island. I had the fish and chips, and the Mrs tried the 1 1/4 lb crab pot. 🦀 I'm surprised we got almost 4 clusters of crab and really good corn on the cob and red potatoes. The crabs were sweet and so easy to crack, very good. While here, we toured the lighthouse and even had a dolphin leap out of the water right next to us on the pier.
We had the pleasure of dining at the crazy crab. It is a beautiful restaurant with great views. We were greeted immediately and seated within minutes. Our server was amazing. Answered our questions and gave suggestions. We tried the gator bites they were wonderful. Our entrées included broil seafood platter, fried seafood platter, fish and chips and kids steak. All were great. I did wish my flounder has more seasoning but not a deal breaker. I added salt and pepper! The same with the fish and chips it was missing something, but it was not bad it was okay. My son loved his meal so that was awesome. The drinks were delicious. Overall we had an amazing time. I would certainly recommend. Great restaurant.

Our server Kim was exceptional!!! I understand why her Dad thinks she's famous!! Very knowledgeable, loves her job!!! Told us the history of The Crazy Crab! The special of the day was Mahi Tacos! Soooo good! Our first time to Hilton Head - Harbour Town and we picked the BEST restaurant on the island!!! We will tell all of our friends!!! And of course we had to top it off with a slice of Key Lime Pie!!!
Fishing for yummies? Very cool decor inside of the restaurant. Our server was very very knowledgeable of the menu and details of the plates. We had a great time on New Year’s Eve having dinner there. Only reason it’s not five stars as I feel the fried platter could’ve been a little better. The kids and family had a great time. Would recommend this place to anyone that stays on the island.
