Ubisoft implemented the Reputation System Beta due to increased communication penalties and incorrect labelling of misconduct. It aims to reduce toxicity and ensure a fun and enjoyable experience for all players in Rainbow Six Siege.
In Rainbow Six Siege Y9S1 and beyond, the developers at Ubisoft confirmed that they will continue updating the Reputation System Beta to guarantee its accuracy before implementing any Standing Impacts.
This season, numerous balance changes have been made to the Reputation System by the developers. The primary goal of system balancing is to ensure that players' Standings accurately reflect their actions.
Why is Ubisoft implementing the Reputation System Beta?
The developers at Ubisoft discovered that players were experiencing communication penalties at a higher frequency than anticipated. In response, they opted to disable voice chat and written chat penalties.
These penalties will remain inactive until the developers can implement additional measures to ensure that all penalties are fair and provide players with a clear pathway for improvement.
Additionally, on consoles, they identified another issue resulting in an increase in visible voice chat reports within the Reputation Center.
Furthermore, they found instances where misconduct, such as Griefing or Voice Abuse, was incorrectly labeled as "Excessive" in the Reputation Center. A fix addressing these issues was released on March 21st.

The Reputation System Update
Currently, many players will find themselves in the Respectable bracket, which is an admirable achievement.
This Standing signifies being a cornerstone of the Siege community, contributing positively to the experiences of others, and playing with consideration, thereby enhancing the enjoyment of Siege for everyone.
Some players with consistently positive behaviour may ascend to the Esteemed and Exemplary brackets, though maintaining these standings can pose greater challenges.
Conversely, descending into the lower brackets does not necessarily imply exclusively negative behaviour. However, landing in the Disruptive bracket indicates a departure from the overarching ideals of Siege gameplay. With concerted effort, players can elevate themselves to the Respectable Standing.
However, finding oneself in the Dishonorable bracket indicates clear negative trends that need addressing. In such cases, players must adjust their behaviour and strive for consistency to enhance their Standing and contribute positively to the community's experience.

What does this mean for the future?
After listening to players' feedback, it's obvious that significant changes are needed for the Reputation System to meet the requirements set by the developers.
With this in mind, Impacts based on players' Standing will no longer be introduced in Y9S2 and will instead be implemented in a later season. As a result, the Reputation System will remain in Beta status for the time being, as it will not see its full release in the upcoming season.
The developers at Ubisoft will share more information soon regarding when players can expect to see Impacts and the full release of the Reputation System.

What is the expected release time frame?
The deployment of Impacts will be announced in advance to allow players to prepare. Once this feature is live, the developers will closely monitor the system and listen to players' feedback on the update.
The Reputation System will remain in its Beta status as developers work on making improvements and gathering additional feedback. Their priority is to ensure that players feel confident in the Reputation System, with a focus on reducing toxicity and ensuring that Siege remains a fun and enjoyable experience for all.
The Ubisoft team is committed to providing transparency and responsiveness regarding this system, and they encourage players to continue sharing their experiences with us. They are always listening as they strive to maintain a safe community environment.
